Jermaine D. Layton known as JD, is the President & Lead General Contractor of Built By Layton LLC., founder & Editor in Chief of the Blog “Intuitive Composition”. Born in Los Angeles California before being relocated to North Little Rock, AR. Jermaine is a graduate of NLR high school; attended Arkansas State University as a student athlete seeking a degree in Management Information System. After college Jermaine became an engineer for Southern Bell until taking a position with GNC as Senior Sales Manager for the Arkansas, Tennessee & the Mississippi region. After years of designing & property investments, Jermaine decided to chase his own vision of creating art in the world brick by brick. This vision has given him purpose beyond measure, this is a small family business that has grown into a legacy for his sons. Jermaine gives all accomplishments & glory to his Heavenly Father for finding favor in his works & allowing him to come across such amazing customers, who have visions & dreams of their own. “I’m truly blessed to have this opportunity, it means a lot when people trust you to build a place of rest. I ultimately believe that whatever great things we build, ends up building us!”

Built by Layton mission is to provide the highest-quality workmanship possible. We succeed at this because of the integrity of our subcontractors and staff, our commitment to a solid work ethic, our passion for staying current with the newest innovations of our industry and with consideration for the environment. Built by Layton is a general contracting business incorporated in Arkansas in 2020. Our staff and crew bring years of experience in residential, light commercial building, high-end renovations and additions. Currently, the company is involved in custom whole-house renovation and remodels, in addition to new-home construction and commercial projects. Typical projects are structured with one of the principals as the primary project manager. A working supervisor or foreman is on the job from start to finish and is responsible for the implementation of the design. We’ve worked with our subcontractors for years because our relationships are built on trust and performance. Our employees have been chosen based on their ability and level of craftsmanship, as well as, their personal qualities and values. We believe that having our own employees provides us with more immediate control over the direction and nature of the construction process. Our pride and personal involvement in the work we perform result in superior quality and service. This attitude is also directly reflected in our employees’ level of responsibility, professionalism and competency.
